Every research project we support has the potential to transform the way we deliver care, and improve or save lives.

Transforming care

Royal Surrey County Hospital is a centre of excellence and training for minimal access surgery and a recognised epicentre for robotic surgery – we are helping to pioneer less invasive, more accurate techniques, which reduce pain and aid quicker recovery times.

We want to continue to be at the forefront of advancements in medicine so that people in South West Surrey and beyond receive extraordinary care. But we can’t do it alone.

The difference we’re making, together

Thanks to our supporters, in the last year we have funded:

  • A DNA sequencer which allows for cancer patients to receive tailored treatment plans – the process analyses the genetic make-up of a patient’s tumour to determine how best it can be treated.  The test will be expanded to other areas; for example, to ensure those with depression or anxiety are treated with the most effective drugs.
  • A database which allows scientists to collect and study data of patients with breast cancer, resulting in more targeted treatment and reducing the need for further operations.

We need your help to make lasting change.
