Donating good quality items can help raise money

Friday 3 January 2020

With an estimated 60 million unwanted gifts being given at Christmas*, Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity is asking the local community to consider donating any unwanted items to the charity.

Last year, over £19,000 was raised thanks to donated items that were sold at our regular tabletop sales in the hospital.

If you're having a post-Christmas clear out, please consider donating good quality, clean second-hand and new items.

We are currently accepting donations of:

  • Unwanted new gifts
  • Children's books
  • Children's toys and games
  • Jigsaws
  • New toiletries (seal intact)
  • Costume jewellery

We regret that due to hygiene and limited storage space, we can no longer accept clothing (including shoes), kitchenware, electrical items, and bric-a-brac.

Please bring your gifts to the fundraising office on level A of the hospital (in the estates corridor) or leave donated items with the main reception.

Prefer to make a donation to our Closer to Care campaign instead?

Please select a donation amount (required)
