News Donate your unwanted Christmas gifts Donating your unwanted gifts can help transform care With an estimated 60 million unwanted gifts being given at Christmas*, Royal Surrey Charity is asking the local community to consider donating any unwanted items to the charity. If you're having a post-Christmas clear out, please consider donating good quality, clean second-hand and new items that we can use as prizes or to sell at our charity sales. Your unwanted gifts can help fund world class care. We regret that due to hygiene and limited storage space, we can no longer accept clothing (including shoes), kitchenware, electrical items, and bric-a-brac. Please bring your gifts to the charity office on level A at the Royal Surrey (in the estates corridor), leave donated items with the main reception or get in touch. Prefer to make a donation instead? Please select a donation amount (required) £5 could buy a gift for a patient who's spending Christmas in hospital. £15 could buy toys, games and books to entertain and distract children in waiting rooms. £30 could buy a TENS machine to provide pain relief for patients on our wards. £50 could send one of our nurses on a course specific to the area of expertise.
