No one wants to be in hospital at any time, but spending Christmas in hospital away from loved ones can be especially hard. 

Every year, Royal Surrey Charity delivers gift bags filled with useful treats to our patients spending Christmas in hospital away from loved ones. Last year, thanks to your support we delivered 600 gifts to those at the Royal Surrey, as well as our hospitals and patients in the community at Haslemere, Cranleigh and Milford.

Spreading cheer

Royal Surrey Charity wants to spread some festive cheer on the wards again this year. But we can’t do it without your help.

A donation of £20 today could buy a gift bag filled with goodies for a patient who is spending Christmas in hospital, away from loved ones.

£10 could buy items of clothing such as socks, hat or gloves to keep a patient warm.
£20 could buy a gift bag filled with goodies for our patients.
£60 could fund three gift bags for those spending Christmas away from loved ones.
£120 could buy gifts for a whole room of patients on a ward.

Your support really does make a difference, as 96-year-old Patricia told us:

“I received a lovely gift bag: it was so exciting, and it was filled with such lovely things – the crossword puzzle has been a brain stretcher, which is exactly what I need to keep me busy, and the lip balm has been very soothing. The sweets at the bottom made it feel like a real stocking! It really was so thoughtful. Thank you all.”
