Get involved Leave a gift in your will Write your will for free Secure your future We understand that thinking about your will might feel daunting, but it's one of the most important ways to protect your loved ones and support the causes close to your heart. That's why we're delighted to partner with Octopus Legacy, expert will writers, to offer you the opportunity to write a simple will for free. Through the service, you can choose to book an in-person or phone appointment with an advisor, or you can complete your will online (checked by legal experts). Alternatively, if you would prefer to use the services of a wills, trusts and probate solicitor in your area, the Law Society offers a database of professionals. Both providers give professional guidance, and your will is legally valid and tailored to your wishes. There is no obligation to leave a gift to Royal Surrey Charity when using this service, but after taking care of loved ones, any gift you decide to leave would make a huge difference to patients and staff at our hospitals. Details of any debts that you currently have. The people and the causes close to your heart, and any charities you may want to include. Who you would trust to be your executors – the individuals who will ensure your wishes are carried out. When your will is ready and reflects your intentions, it will need to be signed by you and two independent witnesses. These witnesses cannot be direct family members (including your spouse or civil partner) or anyone who is named as a beneficiary in your will. Every gift makes a difference Whether large or small, every gift left to Royal Surrey Charity in a will has a significant impact on patients across our hospitals. We are incredibly grateful for each and every contribution.
