We are incredibly grateful that a significant part of our vital work is made possible by those who choose to remember Royal Surrey Charity in their will. These gifts, both large and small, have a profound impact on the lives of our patients and the quality of care we can provide.

Gifts left in wills have directly supported the following projects:

Special Care Baby Unit redevelopment

In 2021, our successful Closer to Care campaign led to the opening of the new Special Care Baby Unit at Royal Surrey County Hospital.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, including those who left gifts in their wills, the enhanced space allows parents of premature or sick babies to stay overnight, right next to their baby’s cot. This vital provision, one of the first in the UK, reduces distress for families, encourages bonding, builds parents' confidence, and supports breastfeeding.
