Twelve intrepid fundraisers braved their fears along with the weather to take part in Royal Surrey Charity’s annual skydive recently, raising over £5,000 to support patients and staff at our hospitals.

Ana Maduro (pictured) who works in the Stokes Centre for Urology at the Royal Surrey, signed up because she had always wanted to try a skydive and helping our charity was a great way to do it.

She said:

I was so excited before the jump and it was the most amazing experience I have ever had. Seeing the rainbow after the rain and the wonderful sunset while just gliding made it perfect. For anyone thinking of signing up next year, I would say don't hesitate, just do it and remember that you're also doing it for a great cause. Just enjoy the moment!
Community and Event Fundraising Manager, Sandy Lowry, said: “What an fantastic day! Even the showers could not dampen our amazing skydivers' spirits; they were all incredible and I would like to thank them so much for their wonderful fundraising which will make an enormous difference to our patients and staff.”
