Members of the City and West End Office Agents Societies traded their suits for boxing gloves for a spectacular white-collar boxing event at the O2 Arena, raising £120,000 for five charities, with £35,000 dedicated to supporting cancer care at the Royal Surrey.

"We've been organising these boxing events for years, aiming for a bi-annual schedule," explains Jason Collier, Director of JLL, a corporate property agency in London. "After a pause due to Covid, we were thrilled to return with a bang. This year, we had 10 bouts, 20 dedicated boxers, and a staggering 1,000 attendees – including 600 who joined us for a black-tie dinner."

The event, organised by City and West End Office Agents Societies – a network of professionals working within the commercial property sector in London – takes pride in supporting charities that resonate with its members.

This year, Royal Surrey Charity was chosen in heartfelt memory of agent Phil who sadly passed away. His family nominated our Cancer Centre Fund, expressing their gratitude for the exceptional care he received..

The impressive sum was raised through a combination of ticket sales, a raffle and auction, and generous corporate sponsorships. "The atmosphere was electric," Jason recalls. "Organising an event within the iconic O2 was a special experience in itself."

But the real highlight was the impact of the funds raised. "Without the support of fundraising, these charities wouldn't be able to provide the level of care and support they do," Jason emphasises. "Phil's family told us how the Royal Surrey made their lives easier and helped make his final months more peaceful. That's why we do this."

"The dedication of our supporters never ceases to amaze me," Jason adds. "Seeing so many people come together to make a difference is truly inspiring. And I am proud to say we will be hosting this event again in 2026."

We are extremely grateful to the agents who took part in the event, and to everyone who supported. The money raised will make a huge difference to the support we can offer people living with cancer.
