New Cold Cap Machines helping more people through chemotherapy

Our chemotherapy treatment Unit, Chilworth, can now support even more patients with scalp cooling during chemotherapy, thanks to the arrival of two new dual Cold Cap Machines.

These specialist machines help reduce hair loss – one of the most visible and distressing side effects of treatment – allowing people to retain a sense of normality and confidence during an incredibly difficult time. With demand for scalp cooling higher than ever, the new equipment is helping to cut waiting times and prevent treatment delays.

This was made possible thanks to a generous £38,176 donation from the Luigi Francescon Trust, which has helped four more patients receive treatment at the same time.
