Access Self Storage in Guildford has once again chosen to support Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity for its annual Christmas Charity Appeal.

The storage company is asking local residents and businesses to donate toys for children and families spending the festive period in hospital. It is still collecting items at its store on Moorfield Road.

Generous locals are challenged to beat last year’s national collection, which saw more than 1,600 presents – including games, books, toys, clothing and even home-made creations – given to charity. Nearly 4,500 gifts have been collected for charities all across the UK in the history of the Access Self Storage Christmas appeal.

Analiese Doctrove, Head of Fundraising at the Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity, said:

We are thrilled that Access Self Storage Guildford has chosen us again as beneficiaries of this year’s Christmas Appeal. These donations by our community give a huge boost to the people in our care at this time of year and any donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. It is thanks to the kindness of individuals, community groups and businesses like Access Self Storage that we are able to spread Christmas cheer to those people who need it most.

Access Self Storage Guildford store manager Wahid Akram said:

Our staff selected Royal Surrey County Hospital Chairty to receive donations again this year because it is such a great charity and works to support our community at all ages and stages of life. In donating to this hospital charity, we can support the NHS and the hospital to offer things above and beyond what the NHS can afford. It is heartwarming to see our community donating gifts and thinking of others at such a busy time of year.

All donations may be left at the reception of Access Self Storage Guildford where they will be stored safely until they are delivered to Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity after 14 December.
