Guildford’s popular Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park recently hosted NHS staff from the Royal Surrey to celebrate the NHS’s 75th Birthday on Wednesday 5 July.

NHS workers from across our hospitals came together to enjoy the mix of adrenaline-fuelled TV show style courses and inflatable runs inspired by the ITV programme.

The free session for staff took place from 7-8pm, and before that, the park hosted an NHS Big Tea party during the day to raise money for Royal Surrey Charity. Tea, coffee and sweet treats were served throughout the day in the café area, and Ninja Warrior team members were on hand to lead some fun Ninja inspired challenges and games, all in aid of the Royal Surrey Charity.

Robin Legge, Head of Fundraising at Royal Surrey Charity, said:

As a local NHS charity, one of our biggest priorities is to help provide ongoing health and wellbeing support to the amazing staff at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. Ninja Warrior UK Guildford offered a fantastic opportunity for staff to unwind and have fun while celebrating the incredible benchmark that is the NHS’ 75th Birthday. This exciting opportunity proved extremely popular with our staff who enjoyed a much deserved evening of fun with their colleagues and friends.

He added: “We are very grateful to Ninja Warrior UK for choosing to support Royal Surrey Charity and for coming up with this wonderful idea for Royal Surrey NHS staff.”
