Hampton Court Palace is one of only two surviving palaces that King Henry VIII owned. The race will start inside the gates of Hampton Court Palace and finish in its beautiful gardens. After you’ve finished your race you can visit the famous maze and the world’s largest grape vine. About the event Experience an unforgettable half marathon through the regal grounds of Hampton Court Palace. This multi-terrain course offers a mix of riverside paths and palace gardens, making it one of the most scenic races in the country. Starting in front of the Palace itself – the race heads out along Barge Walk and right across Kingston Bridge, before joining the footpaths of Thames Ditton. After a second time along Barge Walk, you turn left and run the final 4 kilometers through Home Park. A regal medal awaits you at the finish, as well as a photo opportunity with Henry VIII *Please note – This event takes place on public paths that may also be used by pedestrians and cyclists. While every effort is made to manage shared use areas and ensure runner safety, including signage and marshal presence, we kindly ask all participants to remain aware of their surroundings throughout the race.
