Take part in Christmas Jumper Day and transform patients' lives

With just over a week to go until Christmas Jumper Day (Friday 14 December), Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity is encouraging people in Surrey to join in some festive fun, while supporting their local hospital.

We're asking schools, clubs and businesses across Surrey to take part by wearing their winter woollies for the day and making a donation to help transform patients’ lives.

All money raised from the initiative will support patients at Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, helping to provide state-of-the-art equipment, redevelop wards to make them more welcoming, and fund innovative research.

Analiese Doctrove, Head of Fundraising at Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity, said:

“We are so grateful to everyone who has already signed up – thank you for supporting. We’d love to raise as much as possible so we can continue to fund projects that change and save lives. So many people have either used the hospital, or know friends or family who have been treated at Royal Surrey or St. Luke’s Cancer Centre. If you’d like to join in some festive fun, please get in touch – and don’t forget to tag us in your photos on social media and use #FestiveFriday!”

A number of local schools, clubs and businesses have already pledged their support for Christmas Jumper Day, including: Experience Guildford, Medirest RSCH, George Abbott School in Guildford, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Aldro School in Godalming, De Vere Horsley Estate, Fernhurst and Midhurst Table Tennis Club, Mummies Club Guildford, and Cubic Vocality.

Staff at Royal Surrey County Hospital and Milford and Haslemere Hospitals will also be supporting by wearing their Christmas jumpers.
