Paul was inspiring and kind to everyone he met, leaving them feeling good about themselves. He shared his endless curiosity and love of life in a career in education, broadcast media and popular travel talks. He was a devoted friend, father and husband with a gift for communication, intellectual inquiry and adventure. In his final months under the treatment of St Luke's Cancer Centre he greatly enjoyed meeting new people from all parts of the world and was very appreciative of the great care he received.
