John was our lovely dad and a good and valued friend to so many people. He was always cheerful, kind and generous and he is, and will be, very much missed each day. Both dad and other members of our family experienced the wonderful care of the Royal Surrey Hospital and we would like to give back to the hospital's General Fund, as I know my dad would wish to. He described the nurses there as his "angels" and I am eternally grateful to all of the nurses, doctors and surgeons who did their very best for him - thank you all. The photo below is of mum and dad in their beloved Austin 7 car which they had just before they were married in 1953.
