Dad was a proud Scotsman, from a small village in Fife, he never forgot his roots. He was the youngest of six so had to be loud to get attention, and stayed so all of his life! Dad fell in love with my Mum (a young Welsh girl) when he was 18 and she was 17 while he was doing his national service. She was the love of his life, they were married for nearly 65 years. Dad travelled and lived all over the world with a successful career in banking and also giving his time to local organisations. He loved his family, 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; he loved his nieces and nephews; he loved a party – he was always the first there and the last to leave, he loved throwing a party too, he was up for any celebration; he loved a single malt –“a wee dram". We will miss him. Thank you so much to Wisley Ward who cared for Dad with patience, respect and compassion. Thank you also for the support everyone on the ward gave to all the members of our family through what was a very difficult time.
