St Luke’s provides radiotherapy services at both the Royal Surrey County Hospital and at the East Surrey Hospital, and covers a population of 1.2 – 1.4 million. Over 3000 new referrals are seen in the centre each year, and on average 200 – 250 patients are undergoing radiotherapy at any one time.

Our vision is to ensure that we can offer all our patients, their friends, family and carers the best possible care and support, utilising state-of-the-art treatments and equipment.

Our patients may undergo treatment on a daily basis for up to 7 1/2 weeks while also attending other appointments within our Department. We understand this may include time waiting in unfamiliar areas which can be worrying and unsettling for some of our patients.

St Luke’s staff strive to give our patients an excellent experience whilst in our care. This includes not only times when treatment is being given but also improving the environment in which the patients spend the majority of their time – i.e. the waiting area.

St Luke's staff, along with friends and family are taking part in a Hikeathon on Saturday 14th Sept to raise money for our Departments Charity "Radiotherapy Out Patient Fund". We will be undertaking a 5, 13 or 26 mile walk in order to raise money to go towards improving the waiting room environment where our patients spend the majority of their time.

Improvement will include:-
• Installing LED lighting
• Decorating areas to freshen up tired surrounding.
• Additional televisions in waiting areas for entertainment and to provide information.
• Transforming 2 changing rooms into much needed extra toilets
and much more........
Please feel free to support us by either using the donation boxes in the Department or using the link to our donation page below.
Thank you in advance from all your dedicated St Luke's Staff.

It’s a great cause, and your donation will help us achieve even more. Donating is easy, quick and secure.

Please share with friends and family on Facebook and Twitter – and elsewhere – so we can reach our target and together we can help Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity and St Luke's Cancer Centre do more. Thank you!
