Jessica's Snowdon climb Donate I am fundraising for the Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Service Fund to support the work they do with young people living with cancer. Cancer is far more aggressive in young bodies than it is in older ones and therefore cancer interventions have to be swift and effective. There is no time to lose. As a Mum of teenagers myself I am passionate about supporting this work and improving the outcomes of young people who still have their whole lives ahead of them. I just couldn't imagine this happening to my own children but if it did I would be indebted to a charity like this. This charity has been nominated by Polstore Storage, one of my clients based locally in Guildford, who are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year and as part of that celebration are endeavouring to give back via 'Sixty Acts of Kindness' throughout the year. They have chosen this charity as the MD is passionate about the cause and because it is local. My own story is that I am climbing Snowdon on 5th October with a group of age 40+ women who are on a weight loss and fitness journey. As part of my own journey I have lost over 17kg (2.5 stone) in the last couple of years and become fitter and stronger than I've been my whole life...at age 51! I'm really enjoying walking and hiking and having never climbed a mountain in my life Snowdon will be a HUGE challenge (literally)!!Please support the work of this amazing charity to help young people living with cancer by sponsoring my climb.
