The NHS nationally recorded its busiest September on record in 2021. Teams at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust have been working tirelessly to deal with the current pressure on resources whilst also tackling backlogs created by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Whilst a Christmas party would not be sensible, it's probably more important than ever to recognise the outstanding contribution that every single member of the Royal Surrey staff has made, and continues to make. Special spaces will be transformed, for one week, in three main sites (Guildford, Haselmere and Milford) into a winter wonderland where hard working staff can relax, recharge and enjoy a small snack and refreshments. It will also provide an opportunity for staff to recognise and say thank you to the colleagues they've stood shoulder to shoulder with during these challenging times. With our help, the Trust hope to be able to give staff a small gift to show appreciation for their efforts since the pandemic began.

The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust say "Thank you for donating towards the Winter Fest to thank our staff for the past 18 months at an historic time in light of the global pandemic. If we raise more money than is needed for the event, we will put the remainder towards the area of greatest need for our hospital."

This fundraiser was inspired by Natalie Savage, keen to help the NHS locally.

Natalie's fundraiser is supported by Anna Reid from the Winter Fest team for any queries about the event please email: [email protected]
