I'm raising money for Royal Surrey County Hospital Charity after finding out the news that my mum had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer in late 2020.

Running this marathon would be just a small token of appreciation for the amazing work of the Consultants, Breast Care Nurses, Oncologists and everyone else who has been pivotal in my mum's cancer journey so far.

The response, care and follow up that my mum has received from the Royal Surrey & St Luke's Cancer Centre has been wonderful and very reassuring for the family. There is still a long way to go in her treatment plan, but we have a lot of faith in the Royal Surrey and St Luke’s. I feel privileged to be able to run, raise money and help give something back to this great hospital.

As well as improving the St Lukes Centre, the charity provides state of the art equipment across the hospital as well as redeveloping wards, investing in staff development and funding innovative research. The charity funds projects that make the biggest impact on the 260,000 people the hospital treats each year – from babies and children too young adults and older people.

It’s a great cause, and your donation will help them achieve even more.

Please share with friends and family on Facebook, Twitter – and elsewhere – so I can reach my target and together we can help Royal Surrey Charity do more.

Thank you! Callum Room
