Launched following the Covid-19 pandemic, our Staff Wellbeing Fund puts the health and wellbeing of Royal Surrey staff at the forefront of our work – helping to look after the people who take such good care of us all.

Since the pandemic, unprecedented pressures have been placed on our amazing healthcare workforce, with significant physical, mental and psychological impact on staff, and it has never been more important for us to support our NHS healthcare workers’ health and wellbeing.

By donating to our Staff Wellbeing Fund, you can help provide the resources and support our staff need to continue to provide the exceptional care that we all rely on – now, and in the future.

Your donation could help:

  • Fund salaried roles, like staff councillors
  • Renovate and refurbish staff areas, including comfortable furniture and facilities (like kettles, fridges and microwaves)
  • Support events and activities for staff that promote wellbeing
  • Provide gifts for staff, like Christmas hampers
Our staff have given so much during the pandemic; emotionally, mentally and physically. The introduction of our wellbeing programme and our new space, has given them a place that’s theirs away from the pressures of their patient facing work. It’s thanks to all the donations given that we could buy this wonderful new cabin.

The difference you make

From counselling support to a dedicated wellbeing space, your support has made a huge difference over the past few years. Previously called our Covid-19 emergency appeal, over £300,000 has been donated and raised since 2020 and we have been completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our local community.

Your support has also helped fund:

  • During lockdown, tablets for staff so they could connect with loved ones, while they were isolating away from home.
  • A counsellor role dedicated to delivering support to ward staff and departments that experienced a disproportionate amount of pressure throughout the pandemic.
  • Mental health first aid training so staff can identify and support mental health issues.

There’s more we can do, but we need your help.
