Hi everyone,

For those who don't know, I'll be running the Brighton marathon on 6th April 2025.

In the last year with my (illustrious) football career over, I've got back into running again. I've reached 50 Parkruns and run a couple of half marathons. For some reason I felt the need to set myself a bigger goal of running a full marathon. After being unsuccessful with my application to London marathon (along with 1 million others), I've decided to give Brighton a go.

I am running this marathon in memory of Natasha Slyfield, who devastatingly lost her battle with cancer last year at the age of 28. Brian, Nikki, Jake and Zoe have been through an awful lot since the diagnosis in May 2023 which is unimagineable.

Tash was a massive Fulham fan who I would often see at home and away matches across the country and she was always full of joy and optimism at every game I saw her at. Regardless of how terribly we were playing or how bad the weather was, she'd always see the positives in the day.

The family received tremendous care during this difficult time and they would like to support the Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Service at Royal Surrey hospital. Any donation would be hugely appreciated by myself and the Slyfield family.

If anyone would like to keep up to date with my progress you can follow me on Strava.
