Co-op Funeralcare Easter egg appeal

Long-time supporter, Co-op Funeralcare, has launched an Easter egg appeal for Royal Surrey Charity.

The funeral directors based in Woodbridge Road, Guildford, is collecting eggs for our children's ward, Hascombe. Stuart Taphouse and Christina Parkinson from Co-op Funeralcare (pictured) are also reaching out to their shop contacts in the Co-op group to provide donations of teas and coffees for NHS staff to keep them hydrated.

Funeral Arranger Christina explains why they are keen to run the appeal and support the local community:

On a work front I have a strong ethos: I want people to know about Co-op Funeralcare, before they need us. It’s really important for our community to know our door is open, we are friendly people, and that a funeral parlour isn’t a place to anticipate as a dark and unnerving place to call into. I also want to pay back to the Royal Surrey. They did a lot for me when I needed treatment for my daughter. The care they gave is still with me today.
